We’re holding an online contest called Car2Can, asking contestants to make short videos showing creative ways they get litter from their car into a trash can. The short videos will be up to 60 seconds long and can be submitted starting May 1. Keep them coming until May 30, which is the last day videos can be submitted!

On Thursday, February 26th from 12-6pm at the Hancock Center (in the HEB center) on Red River & 41st, we will be interviewing and choosing Don’t Mess with Texas interns that will be featured on a reality series. Don’t Mess with Texas will pay for your lodging in June and July and give you $3,000 to be on call for assignments where a camera will be following you around. You’ll have access to VIP events and get great advertising/PR experience and camera face time!

Trash4Ca$h Scholarship Competition
My friends and I are competing in this competition called Trash4Ca$h! It’s a scholarship that is hosted by Don’t Mess With Texas. All high schoolers in Texas can do it..It’s really cool! The deadline is in early April. The rules are to form a group. You and your group need to create something that has to do with litter prevention. The goal is to see who can reduce the most litter in the most creative way..something that will get people talking about it. On their website, they have stuff like organizing community-wide cleanups or going to elementary schools and speaking to them about how littering is bad. Also, you could make cool shirts and have all your friends wear them or make posters and post them everywhere. Just anything to get the word out there that litter is horrible. They choose 5 winners, those 5 groups get 1,000 bucks each!!!!!
